The world economy has a gigantic total scientific industrial capacity and investment potential of trillions of dollars, but has no plans for the practical industrialization of space. The modern rocket and space industry began its development about fifty years ago. And in the first stages I got a pretty good start. Having given humanity the hope that, while continuing to develop at the same pace, it will soon move from trial, scientific demonstration missions to real space exploration. For practical purposes, on an ongoing basis and at an ever-increasing pace. And over time, the industrialization of space will transform earthly humanity into a cosmic humanity, which is at an incomparably higher stage of development. Thanks to the active development of high-tech industry and access to unlimited resources of the solar system. Expectations of an imminent transition to the space age caused a wave of enthusiasm in society and gave rise to the genre of space fiction, which described the tempting prospects of life during the period of cosmic civilization. But these expectations did not come true, cosmonautics did not move to new stages of development, still conducting its activities in the mainstream of experimental projects, for the sake of research and support of the status of power.
According to the accepted opinion, the main obstacles to the colonization of space are the enormous cost and complexity of the development of large-scale space programs, which create almost insurmountable barriers to the transition from research to practical development. But this opinion is only partially justified. In reality, there are dozens of projects for the development of practical activities in space and the development of new transport systems that greatly reduce the cost of space programs.
If states were interested in the colonization of space, they would at least put this goal on the agenda, develop pilot projects in this direction. But states do not pay any attention to projects for the practical industrialization of outer space, they themselves do not develop them and do not allow them to be published. They declare as goals only the expansion of space research, such programs as permanent scientific bases on the Moon or Mars, sending probes to the satellites of the giant planets. And the colonization of space from their submission looks so that it will become possible only when not – be in the distant future, but for now one can only dream of it. No real, practical, space exploration plans come from states, and no initiatives either. Although states have the most powerful scientific and industrial complexes,
It is quite obvious that the states do not need space colonization. Their current situation, conducting research for the sake of strengthening their own prestige is quite satisfactory. At the first stages of the development of cosmonautics, they promised society to begin colonizing space only for the sake of strengthening their power, and now they do not declare this intention either, finally turning the transition to the space era into a futuristic myth. And on their own initiative, state administrations will not rebuild the space industry. Why should state administrators change the puppet structure that is in their maintenance and supports the power vertical to powerful, independent space, industrial corporations that will compete with them? Why should space administrations go for a quality upgrade? Modernization, dramatically increases the level of risk, the level of competence, the level of responsibility, and the intensity of personnel changes. And bureaucratic structures generally do not like unnecessary movements, for them the ideal state is stagnation with imitation of activity.
Large corporations, in fact, are economic power, an oligarchy; they are also not interested in a qualitative renewal. According to normal logic, business should always strive to occupy new markets, but a large monopoly business is primarily interested in not crumbling their monopolies, and if a qualitative renewal begins in the economy, mobility and competition will sharply increase, and it will be much more difficult to maintain monopolies.
An update always leads to a change in leading players, and those players who already occupy a dominant position are usually not interested in it. The initiative in the update usually comes from new players who have not yet occupied the market or are at the stage of theoretical projects.
Private astronautics, has the intention of colonizing space, but has no effective plans and is poorly organized.
In the last decade, private players have begun to get involved in space exploration, with more practical approaches and projects. Private traders declare their intention to change the strategy of the race for records for the race for space resources. Private astronautics promises to begin the colonization of space, and it is really interested in it, but it is developing slowly and haphazardly.
There is still no significant progress in private space exploration, the only company that really does something new is Space X, which has released a line of rockets with reusable first stages. And now he is developing a new, super-heavy, fully reusable rocket, “Starship”, “Starship”, with the advent of which space exploration can become many times cheaper and more intensive.
The advantages of private space players include the fact that they do not have the internal inhibition of state administrations. Private traders are vitally interested in the development of practical projects, and their total potential is comparable to that of state space agencies.

The total turnover of the private space industry, mainly communication and sensing satellites, is about $ 300-400 billion. This is about ten times more than all the state space agencies combined. Firms that provide space information services do not themselves seek to develop new steps in the industrialization of space.
New firms, mainly emerging from amateurs, who do not have serious money, not serious capacities, start-ups, are claiming the industrialization of space. But if the industrialization of space begins to develop, becomes an established direction of the space industry, then satellite companies will join it, since the new space industry will be able to serve satellites, extending their service life, and giving them new opportunities. And the private space industry, when it starts making a profit, will start attracting money and partners, gradually expanding and drawing the entire world economic potential into the process of industrialization of space through investments and a system of connections.
The first projects for the industrialization of space will be low-budget, but as soon as the space industry begins to get on its feet, it will begin to attract investments that will allow it to grow rapidly. And as it grows, the inflow of money will increase, causing further acceleration in growth. Like a snowball. An example of this is Space X, which started as a hobbyist startup that launched the first rocket in 2006 and is now one of the flagships of the global rocket industry. Space industrialization projects in 10 years can grow from a group of startups into a cluster of large corporations, a segment of the global industry with a turnover of tens, or hundreds of billions of dollars. And since resources in space are not limited, and with the development of transport systems, further expansion of the space industry will become cheaper, and at the same time, new technologies will provide new opportunities for development, the growth of industrialization of space will be rapidly increasing. Further growth will attract already trillions of investments, and draw the entire world economy into the industrialization of space. As soon as the industrialization of outer space becomes comparable in scale with the world economy, it will go into full-scale colonization of space, the development of the world economy at the expense of space resources.
